🔶 Nickelodeon – the world’s leading entertainment network for kids, took a break from its playful content to speak out against racist attacks against Asian Americans.
🔶Nickelodeon’s strategy is to connect with kids as well as the previous generation through nostalgic content (remember Rugrats, Hey Arnold and Doug?) So this post was well-placed to be noticed. Parents and older siblings would have been able to use this topical post as an opportunity to educate their kids about what’s happening in the real world…right before an episode of Spongebob Squarepants.
🚀NASA – National Aeronautics and Space Administration is a U.S. government agency responsible for science and technology related to air and space. Its Perseverance Mars Rover made a successful landing last week. But that wasn’t the only star of the show!
🚀Indian-American scientist Swati Mohan led the guidance, navigation, and control operations of the mission. Many of the ‘lady with the bindi’ tweets went viral – users thanked her for rocking the red dot, saying that they had once been bullied for wearing the same.
🚀She’s more than a bindi – she immigrated to the US from India at age 1, was inspired by Star Trek at 9, then earned a B.S from Cornell in mechanical and aerospace engineering and an M.S. and PhD from MIT in aeronautics.
🤖NASA’s Mars 2020 Perseverance rover is currently looking for signs of past microbial life, cache rock and soil samples, and preparing for future human exploration.
🤖 NASA’s Perseverance rover’s Twitter account is an absolute delight to follow. Tweeting in a first-person voice, it updates its 2.2m followers about its latest findings through whimsical yet educational thoughts like: “Busy, busy. What I’ve been up to since landing, you ask? Well, quite a bit.” You can’t but help root for the robot out there, all alone(?).

🍍 This cheeky little post went viral on LinkedIn after a user walked straight into Innocent’s cunning plan. She shared a photo of the carton’s ‘bottom’ which read, ‘stop looking at my bottom.’
